Most recently, localised electrochemical deposition (LECD) was studied using microradiography with coherent synchrotron hard X-rays [46,47]. For the first time, the electrochemical deposition mechanism was revealed by in-situ, real-time observation of the process. LECD is a novel and interesting technique for the fabrication of very high-aspect-ratio microstructures and nanostructures. LECD growth of a high-aspect-ratio copper microstructure deposited on a copper substrate at 4.5 V, which was monitored with real-time microradiology with coherent X-rays. |
